Portion Size Me started when ten year old Marshall Reid declared himself "done" with feeling poorly about himself and being bullied for being overweight. After making a few goals and slow and steady changes that replace behaviors he is out of the obese category and the whole family is healthier and happier.
Now the family has created a fun challenge to excite and encourage kids to get into the kitchen and get real with their snacks. In "Snack Wars" kids from three diffeent ages have twelve minutes to explore a mock pantry and refrigerator and create a healthy afterschool snack. This video is from our inaugural event at the Boys & Girls Club of Lee County. Our next event is at the Lee County Health & Fitness Fair on March 27th.
